Swiss institute completes annotation of human proteins

Researchers with the Human Protein Initiative at the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics have finished annotating 20,325 human proteins. The new protein encyclopedia will help in developing more personalized treatments for various diseases, especially those linked to genetics, according to the institute's director, Ron Appel. The encyclopedia can be accessed online for free.
