No Child Left Behind has been a law for eight years, plenty enough time for the effectiveness of this education experiment to be clear, National Board Certified Teacher Anthony Cody writes in this blog post. "The designers of NCLB thought their plan would lift students in poverty by improving their schools. They had their ideas, and their ideology to support them. But as we survey the results in our schools, especially those in areas of poverty, surely ideology alone is insufficient to continue down this path," he writes.
