Sanyo joins with TomTom for in-car multimedia nav systems

Sanyo Consumer Electronics and TomTom are joining forces to develop built-in multimedia navigational systems for the automotive market by the end of 2010. The companies already are in talks with auto manufacturers about future rollout plans, and Harold Goddijn, the chief executive officer of TomTom, said the deal would allow his company to create new market opportunities in the U.S. and Europe.
