SEC commissioner doesn't want courts ruling on mutual fund fees

Securities and Exchange Commissioner Troy Paredes does not believe the courts should have too much of a say in whether mutual fund fees are too high. The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear a case involving mutual fund fees on Nov. 2. "Courts aren't well-positioned to second-guess decisions made by boards and companies in good faith," Paredes said.
