Study: High-folate diet lowers colorectal cancer risk in women

A South Korean study found that women with high folate intake are about two-thirds less likely to develop colorectal cancer than those with lower folate intake. However, the dietary intake of folate, which can be found in green leafy vegetables and citrus fruits, had no significant effect on the risk for the cancer in men, the study found.
