Are you a growth creator or a cost saver?

Research found that most bosses are either good at managing growth by winning clients and building a strong team or at managing efficiency by cutting costs and firing people. Unfortunately, says management professor Camelia Kuhnen, few are able to handle both -- and that means when a company's situation changes, it's often time for a change at the top. "CEOs usually have a competitive advantage in one dimension," she says.
