Mo. lawmakers revise Facebook law

A section of a new Missouri law that bans private online communication between teachers and students on social media has been repealed by state lawmakers. If the repeal is signed by Gov. Jay Nixon, such restrictions would be up to local districts. The initial ban was criticized as too restrictive of free-speech rights, and teachers challenged the law in court. However, some lawmakers say local districts still could adopt policies on social media that infringe on free speech.
