AGA will push Congress for online gaming regulation

Geoff Freeman, the president and CEO of the American Gaming Association, vowed that his organization would do its best to get federal laws passed regulating online gaming. The group seeks consumer protection standards and a way to prosecute illegal operators. Freeman said he does not expect Congress to pass legislation on Internet gambling, however. “Anyone who has been to Washington recently knows that the environment for getting a bill done is not there,” he said at the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas.
