Colo. communities cope with flooding

Boulder, Colo., like other parts of the state, recently suffered significant damage as the result of flooding. But the city's efforts to plan for the flood seem to have paid off, as Boulder made it through the deluge better than some nearby communities. Still, the area -- and others like it -- must find a way to cope with the continued risk of flooding. "This flood threat exists all up and down the Front Range, so the same kind of thing could happen anywhere," said University of Colorado geography professor John Pitlick. "And it did."
