Mass. mayor says transit investment key to developing urban tech hubs

Massachusetts is becoming "a magnet for entrepreneurs and innovators," but luring tech startups will require investing in and improving the state's transit system, writes Mayor Joseph Curtatone of Somerville, Mass. Curtatone says a new $39 million station for the Boston subway in Somerville has generated $1.4 billion in private investment, which will result in the creation of more than 10,000 construction jobs and 10,000 more permanent jobs.
