Negative effects of binge eating similar to bulimia, study says

Binge eating has not been considered as serious as bulimia, but study data indicate that it can lead to the same levels of impairment, Harvard Medical School researchers reported on the website of Epidemiology and Psychiatric Sciences. The study found that compared with people who had no history of eating disorders, a history of binge-eating or bulimia predicted up to a fourfold increase in the number of days people were unable to perform usual activities.
