Ohio health system, university to research wellness programs

Akron General Health System and Kent State University have announced a partnership that will research, develop and test wellness programs. Akron CEO Dr. Thomas Stover said the Health and Wellness Research Collaborative will help show, through peer-reviewed research, that wellness programs work. "It's about showing outcomes about how this has had an effect in lowering the incidences of diabetes, lowering the incidences of obesity," Stover said.
