Renesas MCUs target health care sensor apps

Renesas Electronics introduced the RL78/L1C line of microcontrollers, 40 low-power chips that are specified to reduce current drain in LCD drive operation by about 30%, compared with the company's 78K0R/Lx3 chips. The new MCU line is meant for use in health care sensors, including blood glucose and blood pressure monitors.
