Skanska upholds sustainable vision through BIM

Jake Yeoell, a sustainability consultant at IMS Consulting, takes an in-depth look at how Skanska is using "green BIM" to complement sustainability in construction projects. The company says the technology could provide value-added and bottom-line benefits to the industry. "Green BIM helps us and our project stakeholders, such as architects and designers, to make informed decisions earlier in the design process. This makes a greater impact on the resource efficiency and performance of a building or infrastructure project," said Tiina Koppinen, Skanska business development director.
