Survey: 47% of marketers expect social-spending boost in next year

Nearly half of marketers plan to increase spending on social media in the next 12 months, according to an Advertiser Perceptions survey of 2,000 marketer and agency professionals. The extra money could be coming at the expense of Web portals -- 16% said they expect to spend more on that category, and 24% said they expect a decrease.
