Teachers in Ga. district find uses for student-owned technology

Three schools in Richmond County, Ga., are piloting bring-your-own-technology programs this year, with the goal of expanding the initiative districtwide next year. That plan is contingent upon the district expanding wireless access to all schools in time. For now, educators, such as social studies teacher Sherri Darden, are asking students to use their own devices to conduct research online and complete work via the online interface TodaysMeet.com.
