U.S. announces 2014 health care premiums for federal workers

The Office of Personnel Management announced Tuesday that premiums in the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program will increase by an average of 3.7% next year, with the share paid by employees going up 4.4%. OPM acting Director Elaine Kaplan said the overall increase is below 4% for a third consecutive year.
