Bush to lawmakers: Pick up pace on Medicare talks

President Bush encouraged lawmakers to speed up talks on the Medicare drug bill, but major differences among some Republican members of the House and Senate may preclude the bill from being completed by its Oct. 17 deadline. Issues include how much to pay rural hospitals and how to give private health plans a larger role in Medicare.
