Massachusetts looking to ease bookload burden on students

A Massachusetts legislator has introduced a bill setting a maximum weight for newly purchased and updated textbooks in grades 1 through 12. Textbook publishers say health problems stem not from the books themselves, but rather from students' wearing backpacks incorrectly and cramming them with other items.
