In pilot program, British children study France's history en francais

A plan to teach history and geography in French, German and Spanish may be expanded to all British primary and secondary schools, if it proves successful. The government hopes the program, modeled after ones being used in France and Germany, will enrich the curriculum and encourage more students to continue studying foreign languages.
