Provigil approved by FDA for some sleep problems

The FDA approved the drug Provigil, manufactured by Cephalon, to treat people who wake constantly because they perform shift work or suffer from severe snoring. The FDA panel split, however, on whether Cephalon should be used for other sleep disorders.
