Ottawa eyes Silver LEED rating

The city of Ottawa says it will begin offering businesses increased incentives to build green and will seek to conform with the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Canada rating system. City planners, in an effort to achieve the Silver LEED rating, will call for new buildings and large-scale renovations to be designed, delivered and operated in an environmentally friendly way.
