Out candidate emerges the winner in tough primary

Out candidate Jamie Pedersen has emerged the winner of the closely contested Democratic primary election for a Washington House seat after second-place finisher Jim Street conceded. The latest tally increased Pedersen's lead to 252 votes, up from 200 votes on Wednesday, the day after the Sept. 19 primary.
