Study: Arbitrators often expunge brokers' records

Brokers are usually able to persuade securities arbitrators to expunge settlements paid to angry investors from their records, according to a Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association study. The study found that the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority granted requests to expunge records in 98% of the cases.
