Treasury forms two hedge fund advisory panels

The Treasury Department has formed two advisory panels -- one made up of investors and one made up of asset managers -- to make recommendations on hedge fund operations. Hedge funds have gotten extra scrutiny because millions of people are now indirect investors in hedge funds through their pension plans. The Bush administration has resisted adding extra regulation to the funds.
