Comediennes take on the old boys' network of comedy

Comediennes are rocketing to stardom as women such as Amy Poehler, Tina Fey and Chelsea Handler gain prominence in the male-dominated world of comedy. The industry is still a boys' club, comediennes say, and many women aren't up for the grueling lifestyle of the job. But comedy stalwart Joan Rivers points out that much of comedy is universal. "Funny is funny," she said. "People want to laugh; they don't care if you've got a vagina."
