Study: Demand for efficiency spurs doctors to buy EHRs

A CapSite study found that the market for ambulatory electronic health records continues to grow, driven more by doctors' need for improved efficiency than federal stimulus incentives. "Based on the findings from the study, we project a market opportunity in excess of $3 billion for ambulatory EHR and practice management solutions over the next 24 months," CapSite's research director said.
