Text messaging and Facebook are part of instruction at Calif. school

Teachers at a California high school are using text messaging, Facebook, wikis and other technology to engage students in lessons and help them learn. Teachers say having students text answers allows them to instantly gauge whether students have grasped a lesson or need additional instruction. "Either we get on the leading edge of technology, or we will be obsolete in five years," the school's principal said.
