Brands take note as Tumblr takes off

Tumblr has overtaken WordPress as the most popular blogging platform, and as of this month it is hosting more than 29 million blogs, the site reports. Nielsen data show that the site has a young, female-skewing audience, making it attractive to marketers and fashion brands. "As more users create blogs on the site and marketers experiment with how their brands can be involved, Tumblr is likely to become a bigger player in the social space," this article notes.
