Cigarette tax increase may make its way onto Missouri ballot

Missouri voters may get another chance to raise the state's lowest-in-the-nation cigarette tax by 80 cents per pack, a move supported by health care advocates. If the initiative is approved for the ballot and passed, the extra money would go toward education, including training health care workers, and to tobacco prevention and cessation programs.
