Fed's Operation Twist puts new stress on U.S. pension funds

By driving down bond yields that are already historically low, the Federal Reserve's Operation Twist is making it more difficult than ever for pension funds to earn what they need to meet their obligations, experts said. The median U.S. corporate pension fund has a bigger funding gap now than it did in 2008-09, a study found.
