ACC points to problems with new consumer chemical rules in Calif.

California is set to issue comprehensive rules for identifying dangers in common consumer chemicals and reformulating products if necessary. "At best, the proposed regulation will produce a marginal improvement in human health and environmental safety, but at great cost and lost opportunities for businesses nationwide," according to the American Chemistry Council. "ACC is also concerned that the regulation creates the real prospect of consumer confusion and unwarranted alarm."
