Agricultural Bank of China may be angling for Hong Kong bank

Agricultural Bank of China, the only one of China's Big Five banks without a retail banking license in Hong Kong, is considered by some to be the most likely bidder for Hong Kong's Wing Hang Bank. The move, which would instantly give ABC more than 50 branches in Hong Kong, would follow that of China Merchants Bank, which acquired Hong Kong's Wing Lung Bank five years ago.
