Calif. governor signs $10 minimum wage bill

California Gov. Jerry Brown signed a bill Wednesday that raises the state's minimum wage from $8 per hour to $9 by next July and to $10 in January 2016. The measure was supported by Democrats who say it will give the state's lowest-income residents more spending power and opposed by Republicans who worry it will make the state less attractive to businesses.
