Citrix touts its cloud strategy, gunning for AWS and VMware

Citrix is touting its cloud-computing platform as "application-centric" as it tries to differentiate its service from competitors including Amazon Web Services and VMware, Brandon Butler writes. "The fact that you can use a single cloud architecture to set up a legacy apps pool and right next to it (logically) a modern app pool is definitely unique in the market," James Staten of Forrester Research wrote in an e-mail.
