Diabetes plus depression linked to MI risk in study

Patients with both diabetes and depression had greater odds of suffering myocardial infarction than their healthier peers, with the risk more pronounced in patients ages 45 to 64, particularly women, researchers report. The results were presented at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes meeting.
