Most CIOs are taking steps to achieve career goals, survey finds

A recent SnapSurvey reveals that 81% of chief information officer respondents have well-defined career goals and are working toward achieving them by pursuing certification from professional groups such as CHIME, obtaining a master's degree or taking part in educational events. The survey also notes that 57% of the responding CIOs have assumed additional roles in their organizations, such as chief medical information officer, executive vice president and chief operating officer.
