Research supports 4D microSPECT

A study published in Molecular Imaging and Biology supports the use of 4D microSPECT for evaluating murine cardiac function. MILabs' U-SPECT-II/CT offered some advantages over microCT, the company said, including better detection of areas of ischemia or infarction. MicroSPECT also eliminates the need for using several acquisition protocols and contrast agents as it can analyze cardiac function and distribution of multiple myocardial radiotracers at the same time.
