Sri Lanka offshore blocks draw interest of foreign oil majors

Sri Lankan offshore oil and natural gas blocks have attracted the interest of ExonMobil, Royal Dutch Shell and other foreign oil majors, said Saliya Wickramasuriya, head of Sri Lanka's Petroleum Resource Development Secretariat. The country is offering 13 exploration blocks and six ultra-deepwater blocks in this licensing round.
