Google's China news service excludes sites banned by government

Google's online news service that recently started operating in China is excluding Web sites banned by the Chinese government. Research firm Dynamic Internet Technology, which aims to reduce online censorship, said tests show that Google does not allow users in China to see government-banned sites that users elsewhere have access to. A spokeswoman for Google said only a small number of sites were being excluded because those are sites already banned by the government and would not be accessible to people using Google.
