Publix relies on "flavormeister's" creations to drive ice cream sales

Most grocers offer their own private label brands, but for some like Publix, the brands are a key ingredient to their overall success. Publix's in-house ice creams, for example, account for one-third of its ice cream sales, making it the 27th biggest dairy manufacturer in the U.S. last year.
