Tennessee sets sights on building teacher corps

Facing a projected need for 15,000 new teachers over the next decade, Tennessee will launch a $500,000 new teacher recruitment center this November. The center will focus on attracting high school and college students into teaching, luring educators from other states and encouraging midlife professionals to switch fields.
