Where are groceries cheapest?

Clubs, drugstores and discount chains are pressuring traditional supermarkets on price, or are they? An ACNielsen survey found a supermarket basket of the top 50 grocery products costs $82.57, compared to a club store price of $83.90; drug chains and supercenters beat them both with an average basket price of $78.05. The numbers were calculated using coupons and frequent-shopper cards.
