New FCC kids show rules may hinder football broadcasts

CBS, NBC and ABC are fighting tough new FCC rules regarding children's programming that would force them to move their Saturday morning kids shows to a different slot or bump college football to cable. With the latest requirements, which take effect in January, broadcasters will no longer be able to pre-empt more than 10% of Saturday kids shows for college football.
