FDIC will explain a plan for its resolution authority

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., through the Dodd-Frank act, has been given power to shut systemically important financial firms that are failing. Officials from the FDIC are poised to explain how they will go about unwinding banks deemed "too big to fail." It's new territory for the FDIC.
