France urges the G-20 to contain "monetary disorder"

Christine Lagarde, finance minister for France, said the Group of 20 nations should strive to limit speculation on commodity prices and contain currency fluctuation. "When the euro's value compared to the dollar is as volatile as it is, this isn't good for manufacturers, and in particular for exporters," Lagarde said, noting a goal of trying "to stop monetary disorder".
