Insider tells the crisis panel that rating agencies dismissed concerns

D. Keith Johnson, formerly president of Clayton Holdings, which analyzed mortgage pools, told the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission that he voiced concern about mortgage securities with credit rating agencies, but the agencies ignored his warning. Mr. Johnson said many of the mortgage securities Clayton reviewed in 2006 and 2007 did not meet quality benchmarks that investors had been promised.
