Obama: More STEM teachers are needed to improve student achievement

President Barack Obama wants to recruit 10,000 STEM teachers over the next two years, according to an interview Monday. The recruitment efforts are intended to increase STEM understanding, improve math and science teaching and provide STEM education for more minorities and women. "Strengthening STEM education is vital to preparing our students to compete in the 21st-century economy," Obama said.
