Studies show jobs-creation power of bullet trains

Recent reports highlight the regional jobs-creation potential of high-speed rail. A study by the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corp. indicates that a high-speed rail maintenance facility built in California's Kern County could generate between 1,520 and 2,170 jobs. Meanwhile, another study on high-speed rail in the Midwest suggests that building a bullet train could generate more than 57,000 jobs in the region.
