Twitter as an ad medium

Twitter is still a fast-growing network, with about 375,000 users signing up daily and more than 90 million tweets published by users across the service. It's too early to tell how Twitter is going to work as an advertising medium, but some of the big brands testing Twitter's "Promoted Tweets" service are reporting promising results. For example, Virgin America reported success on a Twitter campaign promoting its new Toronto routes with discounts to Twitter followers.
